NO! You can't play when you're injured. You need professional treatment!
Injury means you've done something pretty serious to your body. Pain doesn't always mean you are injured, however, it is a good indication. When a bone fractures, a muscle is torn, ligaments are stretched, or cartilage is damaged you have suffered an injury that is going to require time off in order to get well. A rush to play to soon may cost you a future career.
We recommend a patient come and see us as soon as the injury occurs. By getting a jump on the injury we can direct the healing process and nutritionally get the body the nutrients necessary to achieve the fastest and best healing results. Ice or heat, ultrasound, stimulation, passive motion, and soft tissue work, properly used, can restore full range of motion during the healing process. Strengthening and rehab work get the body part ready for weight bearing or vigorous use.
An injury properly treated usually does not repeat itself.
